GOSHEN — Bethany graduate Lexi Kantz has signed a national letter of intent to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Goshen College, joining Alicia Schwartzentruber and Hannah Grieser as Bruin alumni on the Maple Leaf volleyball team in 2010. Listed as an outside hitter on the Bethany roster, Kantz will be used as a defensive specialist at Goshen, according to head coach Jim Routhier.
Kantz is one of a ten-player incoming class to the Goshen volleyball program, which was 17-16 in Routhier’s first season as coach in 2009. Competing in the Mid-Central College Conference and the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics, the Leafs went 4-4 in conference play before advancing to the finals of the league tournament, where they fell to a team from Taylor University that tied for ninth nationally.
