Goshen Signs Bruin Scorer Weaver

GOSHEN — Four-time Bethany boys soccer letterwinner and 2009 offensive MVP Jordan Weaver has signed a national letter of intent to continue his academic and soccer careers at Goshen (Ind.) College, Bleeding Bruin Blue has learned. Weaver will join Lewis Caskey and Martin Brubaker as former Bruins at Goshen in 2009. The Maple Leafs, coached by Tavi Mounsithiraj, went 9-8-2 in 2008 after advancing to the NAIA national championships in 2007.

Weaver will join Caskey, Hannah Grieser (volleyball), Luke Slagel (baseball), Alita Yoder and Nick Handrich (cross country) along with two seniors who have not yet signed as Bethany graduates at Goshen in 2009-10, while Jodi Stutzman will continue her softball career at Hesston (Kan.) College, and several more athletes have not yet signed at various schools.
