City Rivalry to Open Tennis Sectional

NOMINATE FOR ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

GOSHEN — The draw was made Monday evening for the boys tennis sectional that will be held at Goshen Middle School this weekend. For the two most local teams, the weekend will start two days early.
Goshen and Bethany were drawn into the lone first-round match, scheduled for Thursday at 4:30, with the winner to face the Fairfield Falcons in a semifinal Saturday morning. Simultaneously with the Fairfield match, Jimtown will face NorthWood on the other set of courts. The championship match will be played at 1:00.

Bethany has defeated Goshen, Jimtown and NorthWood this season, Goshen by a 4-1 count and the other two schools 5-0. The Bethany-Fairfield match was 3-2 in Fairfield's favor as the 15-1 team knocked off the 12-1 team last week.
