Bleeding Bruin Blue Athlete of the Week: September 14-20

This is probably the toughest decision I've had to make for Athlete of the Week. Not quite as tough as seeing Yankee Stadium close on ESPN, behind me, but tough nonetheless. Someone was nominated multiple times, including twice in about 15 seconds, but missed out. As I've commented a couple of times, the 14-5 volleyball team could have won "Team of the Week," but this award is individual. This week's winner came from said volleyball team, accumulating 9 blocks, 40 kills and 5 kills, and that was only what was reported. But the clinching honor was found only after a 2-2 finish in Saturday's Wawasee Invitational, when the recipient being named to the All-Tournament Team provided a way to get around my lack of knowledge regarding what constitutes a good volleyball game.

You can stop reading here and check Saturday's report for the winner (Bethany's representative on the All-Tournament Team is in bold) or keep reading to find it.
