College Signing Update

NOMINATE FOR ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Bleeding Bruin Blue has learned that soon-to-be Bethany graduate Alita Yoder has signed a national letter of intent to run cross country at Goshen College beginning with the 2009 season. The Maple Leafs are coached by Doug Yoder and compete in the Mid-Central College Conference, finishing seventh in the 2008 conference meet. Yoder will join Hannah Grieser (volleyball) and Luke Slagel (baseball) along with three seniors who have not yet signed as Bethany graduates at Goshen in 2009-10, while Jodi Stutzman will continue her softball career at Hesston (Kan.) College and three more athletes have not yet signed at other schools.

Tennis players have not signed letters of intent, but I think it would be worth mentioning that these players have joined collegiate tennis teams: Jonny Shenk, Eastern; Luke Hostetter, Messiah; Johnny Kauffman, Earlham; Daniel Buschert and Matthew Amstutz, Goshen.
